The Current Team!
The Bengali Association of Greater Tulsa (BAGT) started over 40 years ago when two families hosted a small Durga Puja at their residence. Now, 44 years later, BAGT has grown into a vibrant community! We proudly organize Durga Puja, Saraswati Puja, and various other events throughout the year. What began as a vision shared by a few friends has blossomed into a strong association with 12-14 families in the Greater Tulsa area, all working together to carry forward the legacy of our founding families.
Our current BAGT team continues this legacy, bringing a taste of Bengali culture to the land of Lincoln and MLK. As immigrant Bengalis, we cherish our cultural heritage and strive to enrich future generations with it. Our dreams include expanding BAGT to host more events and programs that celebrate Bengali literature, art, cuisine, and the rich tapestry of traditions and festivals from our homeland. We invite more people to join us in achieving these collective goals.
